Nowdays most of our illustration is digital. We don't render much ink or pencil anymore because it seems to be too expensive for our clients. Rendering digitally has definite advantages. It is easier for the illustrator, and cheaper for the client, to change a certain feature or manipulate a particular aspect of the drawing whenever they want to.

We had a lot of fun with Island Crane. Drawing a cartoon or a person is pretty easy in comparison to drawing a cartoon of a crane where you've got nuts and bolts and all sorts of doo-dads to include into your illustration!

While we prefer to stay away from clipart because of copyright issues, we will use clipart if your budget requires us to do so, as long as the clipart isn't copyright. This is not just a legal issue with us, it's an ethical issue as well.
