While we can offer a design using minimum bandwidth; sometimes the client wants a wide variety of built-in features including a shopping cart, marquee, or video. We can design all the bells and whistles a client wants but that may not really be the website they should have. It's important to remember that the more enhancements you have on your site, the longer your site will take to download. You've only got 20 - 30 seconds to bring your client on board. Wait time may cause you to lose the very customer your trying to capture. Ultimately our client is always the one that determines what they need, versus what they want. In the end, web pages should not be stagnant, they should be designed in such a way that they can grow and change as your future business needs develop without causing a massive overhaul and expense. That's our goal.
